Happily! I'm "watching" that forum, too, as I love fragrant flowers!! I'll be posting some stuff tomorrow after I get my camera out. If ya'll have never experience the fragrance of the 'Biloxi' crepe myrtle you are missing out. Smiling

It's the most fragrant of all the crepe myrtles that I have grown (and I have grown quite a number). It's just a strong crepe myrtle scent, absolutely lovely. I love crepe myrtles. Lovey dubby Big Grin

I'll post more about it tomorrow. Smiling

Make the fragrances sound nice, okay? I have no ability to smell ... or taste. So use nice descriptive words, okay?

Was getting ready to add my two cents ('bout all I have - ya know) LOL when I saw that "it" had already arrived. Great decision, Dave...thank you!!!Thumb of 2011-07-11/Chantell/e583e5
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

Margaret, Hilarious! at your response of my smelling colors. I suppose I was around 12-13 when I became aware that not everybody smelled colors and it was a shock to me and at the time worried me but it had been such a part of me for all those yrs I finally became comfortable with this.
I suppose that's why it's important for me, at least, that flowers have a fragrance.
When I go on-line or pick up an orchid catalog, checking to see if it is fragrant is probably the second thing I do.
I'm so glad you mentioned this for some reason and thanks.

You are welcome Lee. I do know that some plants with different colors have different smells. I just don't know if all the colors smell similar or not now I want to find out.

Margaret, LOLOL. You've made me have my first laugh of the day earlier this morning when I read what you had written. To me, all colors don't smell alike. Oh, I'm sorry, it's so hard to try to explain this and believe me, over the yrs. when I've told people about it, it's like writing a dissertation. But, I know it interests some people.
I'll need to go back a page and see who wrote that she did the same. I think it was Susan. She and I should start a support group for people like us. LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember showing my dd an iris once and telling her to take a big whiff because this is what "purple" smells like Thumbs up

Three things I have now that are really fragrant are:

lemon scented verbena
lavender
rosemary
basil

I know I'm getting "herby" but I do love their fragrance.
