Thank you so much for your article on making your own aloe gel! I treasure my aloe plants even above my orchids! I have several; from little "babies" up to "teenagers." The reason I have dedicated one room to growing aloe is because I cannot live without it. Most people have heard of the wonderful healing properties of aloe- especially for cuts and burns.
But what many don't know is the AMAZING benefits that aloe has internally on our entire bodies! For the sake of brevity, I will only say that it is a "perfect food." If one does a little research, it is easy to learn how beneficial this incredible gift from God is for us both inside and out. It is much, MUCH more than a remedy for sunburn.
I am in my 60's and there is not one wrinkle on my face. My skin is like that of a child; smooth, soft and firm. I have been wondering how to make my own Aloe gel, because each night I cut off a piece of one of the spikes I have cut from one of my plants, and I peel that piece and use it as as tonic/moisturizer/astringent on my face.
It is messy, yes; but like you said: "It IS worth it!" Now I know how to make my own gel instead of dealing with a "messy" little piece each night. Now I no longer have to visit the outrageously expensive cosmetic counters in the high-end stores. I've discovered the miracle of Aloe!
And the best part of all is- I know how much the aloe I actually incorporate into foods I eat or drink is doing for me internally. I feel fantastic! It's so simple...it's so wonderful! You've made my life a lot easier, and saved me a lot of time. Thank you again, Debbie! Your article is MOST APPRECIATED!!!
God Bless You!
