So, Teresa, how many daylilies have you collected so far? I say so far, as we usually become habitual at buying more, no matter how many we have!!!

Me? I was up to 1000 before I said, enough already. But that is only because I have seedlings (new babies) every year to feed the addiction of 'I gotta see more'!!!

What forms and colors are you attracted to?

My name is Cheryl, I'm a 70's kid. I started hybridizing Orchids in the 80's when I was a teen. Just did it for myself, so I didn't register or sell any seedlings. I Have worked in a number of plants nurseries in my long lost past. I began to love daylilys about 3 years ago....I never did like them before....wonder what happened there!

Since I had done some hybridizing before, I knew I could easily have fun with daylilys. So, this year i'm trying my hand at it. Now I wish I had started this in my teens!!!!!

Now all I need is...... a field!!!!!

A True gardener will purchase a thousand plants before thinking of where to put them :P

Welcome Cheryl!

I hesitate to say this but as we get older our tastes change So welcome to the hemaholics club!

I was outside taking pictures of my daylilies the other day and a girl of about 14 was out walking. We got to talking and she asked what I was doing so I told her. She totally shocked me when she said that daylilies were frustrating because they only bloomed for one day! I see a future hemaholic in the making
