I have started a Blog and am fishing around for info. on how to get images into the body of the blog. Someone suggester pulling them from the "upload" column on the right side of the page. I tried it but nothing happened.

Have you uploaded them into the right column?
If so, you click on the photo and drag it into the blog body.

left click and drag.

Are you using Internet Explorer? This can cause problems...it works best with Firefox.

You can copy the photo details (the string of letters/numbers) above the photo and then copy it into the blog body.

Jo Ann, I hope you find out how to import images to your blog - I love the conversation going on in your watercolor between Pus & Poppy - I wonder if anyone in the Writer's Cubit might be able to help you? I think they have tutorials on this sort of thing. Maybe Sharon could point you in the right direction. I'd like to know the answer, too.

For copy>paste, Use Control C to copy, and Control V to paste. Works like a charm!

Lee Ann wrote about the left click and drag photo, did you try that? Hold mouse over photo, left click and HOLD that click down while you drag the photo over to the area you want it and let go of click.

Thanks everyone for your help. I wrote Dave and suggested the InternetExplorer might be the problem.
GOOD NEWS Dave is working on the blog site and in the near future we will be able to upload images just like we do when we post.
He also said the blogs will behave just like posting to a forum.
I cant wait.

I'm wondering why "Firefox is out of the question". I wonder if you got some false info on that one. You know you can download Firefox and also still run IE. I sometimes switch back and forth between the two, most often using FF though.

I think Dave says the site works best on FF. But I hear ya, Jo Ann, my blog took some tweaking to use, going from IE to FF and such. IE was a pain and offered glitches; FF worked great.

Just curious, did Sharon ever holler back, and if so, what browser is she using? I ask cus I'd love to see your blog in action.

Shoe, I use FF. And yes, Jo Ann and I have talked long and hard about all of this.

However I have a Mac, and am not much help when talking outside my realm. I know nothing about IE.
I can tell you about Safari though and it's not worth a nickel when it comes to placing photos or working in an editor program. I used to switch back and forth, but for a long time have only used FF.

I love the blog feature as it is, but then I've worked in editor programs of all kinds, so usually I can find my niche. I'd actually rather have the blog program than the regular threads because I can manipulate photos and text much more easily.

. . . which is not a bit of help to anybody else, unfortunately.
Sorry.

Oh yeh, forgot your were a Mac-ster. (And when my antique finally dies maybe I should try Apple as well, or maybe it'd be too much like starting all over. Ishh...)

All in all, Jo Ann, hope you get to blogging at some point. Meanwhile I suppose you could use the forums for starting a thread and showing some stuff, eh?

Well, just to help you feel good, it is (as Dave probably already said) definitely an IE problem. I just tried inserting pics using IE6 and not only would it not insert pics into the body but the Tools wouldn't even show at the top of the blog/body. I think you're only getting text features through IE.

I did the same thing though my usual F-fox and it was a piece of cake, could drag and drop the pic, could copy/paste also.

Hang in there. Wish I was closer you could use my computer and see what Firefox is all about, then you might want to try it again. Sure makes life easy!

Enjoy the day!

DD installed FF when I got the laptop. It gave me probems but as a geezer I am not electronics savvy.
