Got my box from Adelman's today! Haven't opened it yet, won't have weather good enough to plant until the weekend and hoping the Brook's box is in by then as well. Last peonies of the year, kinda sad....can't wait until spring!

I've been enjoying the discussions, info and pics in this forum. I too can't wait for spring. My Shima Nishiki arrived today after a delay. I am so pleased with it. Lovey dubby

Nice, it looks like it's old enough to be on it's own roots, huh? I got a couple of Saunders tree peonies from Adelmans this fall, was very pleased with them. I don't think I've ever had a bad root from Adelmans, ever!

Thanks Liz. Did you get Chinese Dragon? I debated on adding it to my order and I didn't. Me too. And they sent the cleanest roots I have ever seen!

Very nice root, Lily! I can't wait to see all the photos of these new peonies in the Spring. I am one of those who don't disbud.

I sure did, Lily! Banquet and Daffodil as well! Hoping they'll bloom next spring, all looked mature enough. Such a huge difference getting tps from a big grower.

Thank you LG. I don't disbud either. I am looking forward to seeing your new IPs' blooms. Lovey dubby

Liz, I agree. Those are some nice TPs also! Can't wait to see bloom pics of your newly added peonies and the existing ones. 600 peony varieties! Lovey dubby

Thinking of adding some more TPs in my garden. I was smitten by Hoki's great show last spring.

Hoki bloomed in my garden for the first time last spring, another one that I missed due to travel. That SUCKS! Hopefully it'll bloom again next spring because I WON'T be traveling next spring.
Lily, I have Shima Nishiki, just a tiny thing I purchased from one of the big resellers. It's survived in my garden and is growing but I'd be surprised if it blooms anytime soon. It never bothered me--seeing the blooms in pictures these seemed more of a curiosity than gorgeous, I NEED THAT PEONY!!!! status to me. But I finally saw it blooming in real life at a nursery last spring and it was AMAZING! I restrained myself from purchasing one that was in full bloom but only because they had several more that I didn't have at all that were in bloom, grabbed them instead. I kept telling myself "you already have one!" but it sure was hard walking away from that bloom.

SN is a stunning TP. As soon as I have a proper place for it, I will definitely get this one. You scored a great buy, Lily.

I have finally gotten the 3 peonies from Adelman planted. They are heavily mulched and I even put a cover over Lemon Chiffon so that the soil will remain warmer for the general area where it is planted. I really hope that they will bloom next spring. I also look toward seeing everyone's blooms next year. Can't wait for spring to come.
