Building in the pic? Oh, I guess there is. I only saw the plants. ;) Good eye, Lin!

@purpleinopp Tiffany, the architectural style of the building is what first caught my eye .... and then the espaliered plants on the right growing up around the windows, then the huge ornamental chandelier (or whatever it is) hanging in the entryway. Smiling

I found the building. It is the Villa Erba - Cernobbio; a 19th century villa on Lake Como.
Here is a link; scroll down about half way to see the building.

@greene You are good! Gee, a shame there's no George Clooney in the photo ... I think I read that he has a home in Lake Como.

LOL, I googled and yep, he has a summer home there; Villa Oleandra, right on the lake:

Good find, greene. So I found an article about the gardens there and it confirms the ball shapes are boxwood, Buxus sempervirens:

Now to figure out the green wall...that one's not the same building is it?

I'll have to research the other photo tomorrow. I'm done for the day. Thumbs up

Your little boxwood may be the dwarf variety which is very slow-growing and compact. Better to get the Common Boxwood as @plantladylin showed you.

Keep in mind that the photos you are showing us have very old and huge plants. You may have to wait a bunch of years for your new plants to grow to a decent size.
