Lee Anne: Congratulations on the new job! Life sure is full of ups and downs, twists and turns ... as I've found out this year. You are such a kind person with such a giving heart and the company who just hired you is lucky to have you. As much as I dislike sales calls, especially after 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. ... if ever I get a call and hear a canadian accent and your name, I know I will smile! I may not buy what you are selling but I'd definitely listen, and I'd surely have a nice conversation with you although I'm sure the business wouldn't appreciate employees chatting away and not selling the product.

Re: The Pigeons. Just don't get in over your head. As humans, we can only do so much and I know you go above and beyond what most would do to help animals. It's heartbreaking that we can't save them all but one can easily become stressed when suddenly they are overwhelmed with too many rescues.

However, I once held a job as a telemarketer....for three weeks. I had to quit. I couldn't take the rejection. There was another reason, but that was part of it.

Because of that, I am always nice to them. I also overtip waitresses and treat cleaning people like their job is the most important one in the room. It's so easy to be nice to people when you care about their feelings. I hope you reach only the nicest people.

Aside from that, how will you have time for puzzles??
