As for time... lot more time doing the planning than the actual work!
Deciding on colors to paint it, and what trim to use where.... hair stars etc. The boots was the only thing I knew for sure how I was going to trim.
I got the modpodge on in one session of about two hours starting with measurement and mixing.
The drying was a day or two, then painting was two 2-3 hour sessions I believe. I had to go back and darken the face so the eyes and teeth would show up.
One thing that would have cut time down was if I had painted pieces separately. Getting paint in the cracks and corners was hard, plus I had to hold it tilted, or lay it down which was risky.
The trim application was difficult due to glue and sissors I had! Took about three hours.
I could have made it simple and it would have gone faster, but wanted to make this one fancy to display with my nutcracker collection at Christmas. My favorite of these is Maxine!
