I think YouTube is one of the best ways to learn about anything useful. There are so many garden related vids to watch. The shows by the BBC are really excellent. I am totally blown away by the fact that British TV will devote days of prime time programming to covering gardening shows. They really know their stuff. Of course, I don't have the climate they do and so one has to make adjustments, but I really do learn a lot.
We still havent seen any accumulation of snow here yet, but we had a pretty good coating of slush/sleet/ice on Saturday. Temps are in the 20s-30s here.
Wish I had unlimited internet
Being in the boonies we have to rely on satellite and pay for all our data so I can't watch much on the computer.
Maybe it is a good thing for me I could get hooked and never get out to garden
I have a clunky DSL connection, because I live in a "dip" where the wireless won't reach.... So some of the vids are a bit stop and start. I heard that I can get some sort of thingy that will allow me to access the BBC online directly (rather than hope for someone to post stuff to YouTube), but I'm still trying to figure that out. I am not a computer person...I'm on my laptop all the time for my work, but it's jsut a glorified typewriter as far as I'm concerned. People start talking about gigs and stuff, I have no idea. Now say the word "cotyledon" and my ears perk up! *LOL*
