That looks very much like it Lee Anne, thank you! Smiling

problem is that I didn't take a close up at the time of the flowers and leaves, it was photographed in a park, not in my garden.
I don't quite remember whether it was scented or not as it is some years ago..

It looks like the Mock Orange I grew in CA, but like Lee Anne says, there is no mistaking the fragrance.

Oops we cross-posted Tee..
I do believe now that it is a Mock Orange! Smiling Another thing is that there must be many species, and without sufficient details on my picture that might not be possible to trace back..
I don't think we can enter plants into the data base without specie name, apart from some exceptions..
Yust saw your last post now, yes, next time I meet it I'll definitely have to smell it! Hilarious!

The fragrance is powerful and wonderful!

Yes, there are many plants in the genus Philadelphus. Too bad there isn't just a genus Philadelphus listing over in the database where such pictures could go until the species is identified. At least it would be in the right general area.

I so enjoy all your pictures, Myriam. Your garden must be a very special place. Lovey dubby

I also have some great pictures of a Mock Orange and don't know the specie name.....The plant was huge and spectacular.

These were taken in a yard in my town...I didn't know the people so didn't ask and I'll bet they wouldn't know a specie name. This one appears to be single. Mock Orange have a wonderful fragrance.

If there was a parent plant for Philadelphus, this pic (and Paul's awesome ones) could have a home.
