Here are the collage combos for next summers deck.
I plan to use lots of Caladiums with light colored leaves.
The " woodpile" garden will be filled with coleus and caladiums that are speckled leaved.

Lynn. That's all I do at this time of year. I go thru all my garden files and hope this season is tha same as 2014.

Jo Ann I just looked at the coleus and I almost chocked on my sip of tea. I am in sticker shock. Some sites are asking $8.00. I guess that is why my local nursery did not have a large selection last summer.

We have Al's Garden Center about 25 miles from me. Every year they have a wonderful selection of coleus and very reasonable prices. Even huge plants in 6 inch containers.

RoseyDawn is around 6 dollars and shipping not included. I have cuttings growing in my livingroom window to cut down on the overall cost of all my containers on the deck.

Jo Ann, I like the idea of the same kind of plant (caladiums) being the foundation connector of all your planters. Have fun!

I think that is what is so surprising at the cost online orders are so small. You could understand 6 inch higher price add shipping to that and you can buy perennial that will be in your garden for years.
