Wow Carol, a hosta in zone 10. That is wonderful. Which one is it. Won't be any time at all before those containers are filled in with beautiful plantings.
Jo Ann, even with your cold spring it is amazing how much your containers are already filling out. They are so colorful. Love the bird water feature. What is the vine growing beneath it?

@valleylynn That hosta is "Dream Queen" - bought it at Home Depot for $7 believing it would be an annual. I had another hosta that I tossed when it died back because it certainly wouldn't live to rise again, right? What saved the Dream Queen is the polka dot plant that caught a seed from the parent about 5 feet away. The polka dot was just too well established for me to disturb the soil so I just pulled all the brown leaves off the hosta and never expected to see it again. Oops.
Can't complain too loud about how the ball bounces when I'm the one who dropped it.
Loving everyone's containers. I have tried caladiums a few times but the night temperature here is just too cold. Will enjoy yours as they grow into the beautiful plants in your containers.
We are having a cool spring so they're not that full.
I think containers are extremely hard to photograph, especially when in the driveway. Hard to keep junk out of the background. Since we got new trex decking I got kicked of the deck. Plants stain it
Kicked off the new decking onto the driveway? Bummer! Think about new driveway with pedestals of different heights for photographing your containers year after year
My daughter started dahlias inside in March. Think I will do the same next year.
One tub is not doing anything. Clump of dahlias never put up a shoot and the caladiums are slow.
The Crow corner is coming along
All my efforts so far have been for clients but finished all that last week. These are staying at my house, finally getting things pulled together here.
