Now many years ago, I was over at a girl friends house who used to make Christmas decorations with real pine cones and pine boughs.
She had one on the living room table that has a candle in the middle.
It looked really nice.
Well the long haired, long tailed cat swept its tail through the fire, now cat hair will singe but not continue to burn but that scared it and while I do not remember all the details, the decoration caught fire.
Now she said-- Bob, it is on fire!
I saw it happen so I was kind of aware of that.
Fortunately fire burns upward and how ever she had arranged it, it was a local fire.
It was mounted on gold spray painted heavy corrugated card board so I just picked it up and carried over to the kitchen sink and used the goose neck faucet to put it out.
It was a bit singed and I said just add more stuff to it and no one will notice but she threw it away and made a new one.
