Holly - I'm so sorry...I just saw this. What a priceless gift both for your dad and family remaining to spend such quality time with in before his passing. I agree...if there's a way to go...I'll take that. Hoping this finds you all smiling at the years of memories....praying for your peace and healing. Hugs.
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

Holly I am sorry for your loss. I feel your pain oh so much. I pray that hole inside you heals quickly. I know the shock you had when you were told hospice would come for in home care. It was good that your Dad was home and you and your Mom were there with him at the end. With great love there is great sorrow. Peace and Love to you and your family.

Thanks Chantell ,
John So nice to talk to you today.
Sally, As well as can be expected. She is grieving, cries easily, and misses him terribly, but is getting a lot of support from the family. My Aunt Mary (Mom's older sister) lost her husband (our Dear Uncle Glenn) just a week before Daddy died. So they talk a lot, Aunt Jill (younger sister) calls and drops in quite often. The kids are all visiting and calling. We have gotten her out several times, twice to see Lily's basket ball game. I think she is coming down on Sunday to visit Jamie's new house and to see baby goats. They will give her a pick up for sure.

Baby goats!! Oh, my mom (and Joyanna) would be over the moon with them... Mom has always been sweet on goats.

That makes me (somehow) think of Chick Days at Southern States... but I think that's a couple months away yet. In tryig to find a start date, however, I came across this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

I just found a pic Holly took and thought it was funny. Her mom looks like a natural. Too bad she's not wearing a black top. Hilarious!

Holly and Ric, so sorry to hear of your loss. Wishing all of you a speedy recovery as you learn to live with the hole in your heart. Group hug I feel for you, as I think if my Dad, aged 87. He and my mom spent the night with me on Friday last week. He wears a pacemaker and has been complaining more and more about feeling tired, although he sees his doctors regularly and is in good shape otherwise. I'm more worried than usual, as during this last visit, for the 1st time ever, he told me where to find their will and insurance paperwork. Sad
