Hi,
Have I identified it correctly?

Thank you very much for your help,
Sasha

I don't think that is Primal Scream. The pollen on the end of the stamens does not look dark enough, the color patter on the bloom does not look correct to me, the buds in the photo look too long and narrow. How about the overall height of the plant, approx. 34 inches? How about the size of the bloom 7 1/2 inches.

I think it looks more like Kwanso or Flore Pleno, but can't really say for sure if it is either.

Below is an interesting thread about being able to tell the difference between the two and link to the database pics.

The thread "Kwanso vs. Flore Pleno" in Daylilies forum

it is absolutely not Primal Scream.

are you just trying to id ones in your garden already or did you purchase it as Primal Scream?

What you do have is somewhat invasive, I used to have some and finally (finally!) managed to eradicate it. It is pretty, but needs a large space of its own, they clump up and spread quickly and root deep and are very tough.

Yes, if it is Kwanso or Flore Pleno, and I do think it is, it is invasive. So you would not want to mix this with other daylilies.

I had either Kwanso or Flore Pleno for years and never did figure out which it truly was, but I absolutely loved it! But then I wanted the space for other daylilies and had a heck of a time getting rid of it. After three years, I still have one area that I am keeping my eye on just in case they decide to make an appearance Big Grin .

Yes, I'm just trying to id what I've got in the garden, Primal Scream was my wild guess :)

Thank you for the heads up. Luckily it's got its own space where it's not bothering other plants, but I'll keep an eye on it just in case.
