The image associated with this duplicate record needs to be moved to the correct record prior to deleting the duplicate record.

Is there a way to submit a request like this as a proposal?

The only way is to first submit a proposal to move the image to the other plant. Then, once the image is moved, submit a separate proposal to delete the plant.

If you think this might be something that needs to be done more than 10 times or so, then I can make an entire "move everything from this plant to this other plant, then delete the first plant" type proposal.

It doesn't come up very often, and I don't mind doing two proposals. How do I propose that an image be moved from one plant to another? The instructions are probably right under my nose, but I've not found them yet.

Just open the image full size and scroll to the bottom and click on "Move this image". Easy peasy. Smiling

Aieee! I've submitted several proposals for deleting a plant which had images and didn't request the move. These were duplicates, misspelings, etc. So for future:
1. request images be moved.
2. Copy over data if present.
3. What about comments?
4. delete plant.

Evan, I always check your deletion proposals before approving them, and I periodically do find them with photos, etc, and I move those before approving the delete. So I don't think we've ever lost anything.

But yes, requesting the images be moved is best.

In the off chance that a comment is present in the doomed plant entry, if you wish, it would be good to just add a note in the deletion request to alert me to the presence of the comment so I don't overlook it. I can move the comment before approving the deletion.
