It's time for me to get in my lotus ponds to thin. I have 2 varieties for sale or trade. They grow great in a water tight large container.

Joyful eyes is a dwarf lotus. $10.00 per tuber with at least 2 growing tips.

Mrs. Perry D Slocum Lg lotus $15.00 per tuber with at least 2 growing tips.

I'd also love to trade for other lotus, named daylilies or brugmansia I don't have. Or tempt me with something else. And please do not be offended if I turn you down.

I realize it is not the time of year to trade for plants, so will gladly send the lotus now and you can send your plants when it's good for you.

Shipping is $8.00.

Thanks!

Joyful Eyes is SO pretty! (and I have a daughter named Joyanna so am partial to any plant with "Joy" in its name)

I won't know what I have for sure until I dump and replant my water garden pots, probably in late April or May. I got several new lotuses from TX Water Lilies last year, though. And I have some EEs and other water garden plants that might interest you... Named DLs, have to see what comes up well enough to split (it's been a weird winter, not sure if it's been good or bad for them). Irises likewise, although I can tell you there's a ton of SDB 'Vavoom' around my mailbox (very cheerful white/yellow blooms), and I could send you a box of those any time (might also be able to offer 'Skating Party' and/or other named TBs potted up last summer... I know I have some extras from the local rhizome sale )

Since I'm not yet sure what I'd have to offer in trade, would you be willing to do this as a sale and then turn it into a trade (refund $10 & shipping) if/when I find something you'd like? I'll be dividing and propagating things anyway for our local NGA plant swap this May, so I can send you a list of what I have to offer. Or if you're willing to wait & see, I'll gladly send you the $18 later if I don't find something you'd like.

The difference in our growing seasons just makes it awkward... a few things in my garden are waking up early in this weather, but most plants are still sleeping.

I'd love to do a trade. Send me your address and I'll send you some tubers and you can your trade later.

Are you interested in both tubers?

Only if "Mrs. Perry D. Slocum" would do OK in a water garden pot (20" or so)... although I might check to see if a friend with a big pond would like it.

I was sloppy with labels last year... I know what's out there, but not necessarily which is where... so if I've got lotuses worth dividing this spring, you may have to wait until they bloom for IDs.
