Does anybody grow this variety of poppy?

I am looking for pictures other than what is on the Burpee seed packet. I know that those can be misleading...

If anybody has grown it, I would appreciate feedback or your thoughts about it.

Well, nobody responded so I bought some anyway. Ha ha. That is the story of my life.

I am not at all sure where I'm going to plant them but that is also the story of my life!

Thank you! They have arisen but we've had a freakishly warm few days (82º+) so I'm concerned about how well they are doing. No flowers at all yet.

This is them as of today.

As you can see, they are not particularly lush or anything. It is going to be close to 90° today, and I suspect that the unusually hot weather is retarding them.

Just heard for the next week it's gonna be back down in the 60ºs during the day. Hopefully these poor little heat scorched poppies will recover.

Well, I posted these pictures in another place but I wanted to respond with an update here as well.

So far, the flowers are nowhere near pink. I got a normal Hare Krishna saffron orange colored one, plus a light creamy yellow one with nearly invisible darker yellow streaks.





It turns out my initial questions were prescient--so far, none of the blooms are pink like on the package.

Maybe by the time they finish blooming one of them will actually have been pink. lol

The saffron color flower had all its petals knocked off. It was nearing that time anyway, but the storms took them off all at once in a clean, fell swoop.

It's still raining hard so some of the poppies look to be affected by a fungus of some sort. Womp, womp.

I still have not gotten a single pink bloom like was shown on the packet.

I have gotten some more pale cream colored blooms.



I do like them, but that is not when I planted! lol

A bit of progress. We have had severe storms for several days in a row and are under a flood watch so many of the blooms have been deflowered before they ever filled out.

However, tonight one of them looks like it might try to be pink.



Here's hoping that it survives the storms scheduled for later tonight. I really want to see at least one pink California poppy!

I plan to save seeds (edit: NOT seats, lol) so that next year hopefully I get fewer yellow/orange/cream ones.
