I think that the idea of planting reblomers in the same bed, is they all need extra water and the others do not. You CAN over water irises.
Well, Lucy, my irises are getting more water now than they ever have! We had a welcome day of sunshine yesterday and another sunny day today and tomorrow. The irises look great. Only a couple of places on our land where there is any standing water - a small fig tree is struggling in one of them - planted two years ago, it suffered through drought and now wet feet! But we haven't had the serious rain-caused problems of some on this forum, like Rob and Sherry.
More rain forecast for next week.
CORRECTION - just googled weather for my zip code.-Sat. and Sun. rain - but no rain all next
week! Yay!
