Water Your Plants with Coffee

If you have leftover coffee in your coffee pot, once it's cooled, you can water your plants with it. Do not use cream or sugar though. I have no scientific evidence to back this one up but I have a house plant that is 14 years old that gets the coffee remains and it is so healthy.

Vic, I haven't tried this but have thought about it often enough. If coffee grounds work then why not coffee? One day I will get around to trying it myself. Having a black thumb indoors; I don't do house plants & am too lazy in the mornings to walk outside with the coffee pot to pour it on any plants. But one day......

Well, it just so happens by the time we moved into this house, we had started making instant (yes, I know 1/2 of you are gagging Hilarious! ) coffee. I make it in our coffee cups & nuke it. No more cleaning the coffee pot & no more grounds or leftover coffee. So no, I haven't tried it. Isn't that just like life? Shrug!

I have only just started to use ground coffee. Although it is a lot of trouble. I often put it on the heater and forget it exists.

I have but Turkish coffee on two daylily in the past. One didn't blink while the other did well. Shrug!

I use instant frou-frou flavored coffees that have sugars and creamers and chemicals in them. Don't think the flowers would like it, but I used to put old coffee on the plants outside the office. They seemed to like it.
It’s okay to not know all the answers.
