These were abandoned in a storage shed repo'd for non-payment. After 30 days, they were still unclaimed, so DH brought them home. They were w/o foliage at the time and I thought they were Crinums. I put them behind the carport. Now that some foliage is coming up, I think they're Amaryllis! If so, they're moving to the front yard after they finish blooming. <insert Homer Simpson Woohoo!>

What do you think?

Yep, I think you're right. They don't look like crinums. Congratulations, what a score! Hurray! Hurray!

I also think they look like Amaryllis. I went out and took photos of some of mine, I was trying to find some with that tinge of color I see in the leaves on your plants. Mine were mostly just green.
The ones in the back near the fence in the second photo was the closest I could come to finding any color in the leaves.

TY, Deborah!

Larry, those are awesome! I put the Ams I had before we moved in Mom's yard & whenever I mumble something about taking some back, she frowns. LOL!

If this is what you have you have Tiffany you hit the mother lode. People love to trade for these. Hurray!
I was just scrutinizing my photo, looks like more oak seedlings are making a claim. D'Oh!

Beautiful! Any Amaryllis are welcome! I'm glad to have them but feel bad for whoever it was who fell on hard times and lost them and their shed.

And yes, looks like it's time to pull sprouts. ;) I've been doing that the past couple weekends.

I think these bulbs I found in a leaf bag I picked up today are Crinums. There were lots more in the bag, but it looked like they had been damaged with a shovel. All these were nice solid healthy looking bulbs. I have had Crinums for years, but I have never had them in a sunny spot( with the exception of my J.C. Harvey I got from Kabby), so I made sure these were planted where they would get a lot of sun and hopefully provide a lot of blooms. Probably no blooms this year, but I will have high hopes for next season.

The large mature bulbs may still give you blooms this year. I've dug some up in the spring and replanted them elsewhere and they bloomed the same summer. nodding

But wait! I logged off for awhile and now y'all have me confused. Are these the same bulbs that we initially thought were crinums? Or was that a different thread?

No, these are not the same bulbs, maybe I should have started a new thread.

Actually someone did start a new one. That's what confused me. (Not hard to do.)
But I finally got my pictures to upload and I posted them in the other thread. They're not great, just pics of the munched on crinum and the culprit that did the munching.
