Betty, if you go to Judy's web page you will find some of her photos with my drool marks on them. She is sold out of what I'm looking for and yes, CHICAGO GIRLS is brand new but I'm looking for it anyway, thanks for your quick reply.

I think she needs to introduce a new one next year named SOLD OUT Sticking tongue out

@Charlemagne was wondering where those marks came from on her website. Hilarious! Whistling Hilarious! You can also check out the Lily Auction for some of the sold out ones, they might be available. I see Miss Demeanor is listed there, just beware the Lily Auction can be addicting in case you haven't been there.

@Seedfork
Kelly's web page indicates she's taking a break this year to get some things done and will be back in business next year in 2018. I know you got good plants from her last year and I was planning an order this spring. I will keep Rainbow Acres in mind for next year.

Great Whit eDove is also one that I want to eventually get, too. The hybridizer should still have it, although it might not be the price point you're looking for:

Looking for a little one called Alchemy

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Alchemy')

Actually looking for several older Tankesley-Clarke miniatures ( 2.5" or under) if anyone knows a source I would appreciate the info.

I'm still hoping to find the daylily called "Baby Keith", but I know it's going to take some tracking down and a lot of research.

Can anyone help me get started with this by telling me the full name of the hybridizer with the last name Primos?

Better yet, if you know if they sold off their stock to another hybridizer, I would appreciate any information to that regard that you could give. I'm guessing Primos is no longer hybridizing, having registered their last daylily in 1986. Thirty years is a long time, which suggests to me that the person probably passed away. Surely their daylilies went somewhere, right?...

I'm also looking for Dragon Heart Stone somewhere that has it less expensive than CT Daylilies. Whistling I LOVE CT Daylilies selection, there are SO MANY daylilies that they have that I want, but I can usually find the same cultivars at lower prices elsewhere, so I'm hoping someone else has seen Dragon Heart Stone elsewhere for less, too!

@CaryPeterson - are you still roaming around garden.org? Is Dragon Heart Stone your creation? If so--or even if not--do you have a website where I can view your daylilies that doesn't require login credentials? I can't seem to figure out how to get into mydaylilies.com without asking you to set me up with a username and password first. Sad

Curt Hanson has informed me that he cannot supply 2 lilies on my order. If anyone has 'Che Guevara' and can arrange a transaction with shipping to California I am interested in adding it to my collection.

I am also looking for 'Christopher Hitchens'.

Char said:The registration code shows Mrs. A. K. Primos, Jackson, Ms. That is the only information given. If you go to the page linked below on the AHS website it will give you contact info for the AHS officers in Region 14, there is a historian listed who might have some info on Mrs. Primos. By clicking the Mississippi Daylily Societies link at the top of the page you might find a club in that area that may be able to help as well. http://www.daylilies.org/AHSre...

Here is the info I posted for the hybridizer of Baby Keith in The thread "Where is Baby Keith" in Daylilies forum 2015.

Oh this is all coming back to me now. (Refrains from Celine Dion's song are going through my head.) I'm pretty sure I contacted the first Mississippi Daylily Society (on the list) and didn't get anywhere. I'll contact them (again?) and see where it leads me this time, though! Sometimes it's one of those right-day, right-person sorts of things!

Edited to add: Hmm..I don't think it was the first one on the list now that I look at it. I know I contacted *some*one regarding Primos...but I don't have my notes handy on who it was. Grr...this is why I'm re-organizing my garden stuff this year. It's long-since outgrown the little cubby I had for gardening notes...I think I'll need a full-size file cabinet soon, LoL!

I'm glad you brought it back up, though, I know I got side-tracked in my search last time and didn't follow through like I should have. I'm going to try and be more thorough in my search this time around now that I'm back into the daylily mindset.

I hope you can find Baby Keith, keep us updated on your progress. We're going to be snowed in the next two days if I get a chance I may see if I have anything here worth searching. Last sentence already has me thinking...there is a rubber tub of old Eureka's downstairs. I'll take a peek and see if there is anything in them. Out grew my computer cubby years ago...spare bedroom and on to rubber tubs in the cellar... Rolling my eyes.

Will do! And thank you for the thoughts/encouragement/research you have done (and may do) on this!

I did call the first person on the list and left a message earlier. I was going to call the other three and then thought better of it...I emailed all four so that they had mail in their email that they could hang onto and reference later (for my contact information) instead of having to hang onto a voice message. Fingers crossed! Crossing Fingers!

I've also been trying to see if I can find a website for any daylily sellers/hybridizers that might carry multiple daylilies by her because that might suggest that they either got part of her garden (if she is no longer gardening/hybridizing) or they may have purchased directly from her (or know someone who did). It's sort of a long shot, but it's an additional step. So far I'm having trouble finding gardeners with any of her cultivars, but I'm still searching. Smiling

@DogsNDaylilies,
Have some info for you. I found two AHS Journals with Mrs. Primos in them, one is just an image the other has an article. The image only is 1965 vol. 19 -3 pg 70. The article is in 1967 vol. 21-2, pg. 14. Her first name was Mildred and she was a new member to the AHS Board of Directors. She served as chair of Display Gardens. There is an address given for that time of Meadowbrook Rd, Jackson, Ms. You can access the article by going into the AHS Portal, Journal tab to Journal Archives. There you will find a listing of the Daylily Journals by year. Hope this info will help !

I'm trying to figure out how her name was registered as "A.K. Primos" if her first name was Mildred. Do you suppose that Mildred might have been the daughter of A.K. Primos? I'm going to see if I can locate the article you were talking about...
