Blooming this morning the obviously mis tagged Rth. Orchidom Brassy Luck..
I bought about 6 out of bloom plants from this grower..not one tag so far has been even close
I understand they took over someone else ' collection and that's probably where the snafu happened .
it's a nice compact plant ..Here it is next to Lily Marie Alamas 'MGR' for comparison

I recalled this NOID from Apopka was blooming when I got it, and it was labeled B. 'Jairak Kiss' . The lip on this flower looks similar, but I'm sure it had white petals when I got it . . . Spathoglottis is happy.
Patty, I do recall the name 'Pixie Charm' when you gave me this division. So, I'll mark it on there as such. I tried googling it but all I get are jewelry sites selling charms for charm bracelets. It sure is lovely and has a nice generous stem of flowers, plus another on the way.

Next week at this time I'll be at the Chicago flower show.........perhaps there will be an orchid there that will be calling my name.................I will have enablers...........my friends Norma and Gail are rounding out the "Girl Day".
Elaine this was a Pixie Charm I photographed at the Tampa show..
The grower ( Everlast) got back to me about my mis tagged plant and said it was
C. (Motte Spot x Branantiae) x Enc. Nursery Rhyme).
Happy shopping Anna!
Ken, I starred this old post, where I reposted the list of Cymbidiums ranked by warmth tolerance. Perhaps you might find it helpful. https://garden.org/thread/view...
Thanks, Ursuala. I seldom grow these and then only because I know that I will sell out of them before the deep south heat hits them. I have always considered them cool-loving orchids, and pretty much shunned them.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
Mine would never be subjected to sunburn. They all grow either in greenhouses, fall and winter, or outside under huge oaks and cedars. Unfortunately our spring and summer highs can have heat indices over 100, but the real kicker is that our lows can be in the upper 70's and even low 80's for much of the summer. There is just no "cooling" for 4-6 months out of the year.

Ken, I grew this in dappled light last summer and moved it to almost full sun in the fall. In addition to the 2 spikes full of buds n blooms it looks like 3 more spikes on the way. Cym . Evening Star 'Twighlight'
