Massee Lane Gardens is the home of the American Camellia Society. Try to visit in February when the Japanese Camellias are at their peak and the air is fragrant with Daphne & Sweet Olive. The also have plants for sale, most in bloom.

How did I miss your thread Wren? I know, I was so mad at Photobucket for messing up my album! I need a new photo service Angry
By the way, I went and shot the tag then the plant in order to get their names for the database, the only way I knew to keep track!
Well, here's a quick redo,

Vi I would like to see as many view of each garden as possible.

Each photographer see thing in a different way so please post more pictures of this and other garden . Maybe we could meet up there and have a great time taking pictures

I would like to see us both do some threads on Callaway Gardens and The Rose garden in Thomasville. That would be great
I hope to go to both next spring,

Hey Wren, just wait until you go in February. (I'll try but I work a lot). The whole garden is incredibly scented with Daphne & Sweet Olive. They had some great deals on the same along with the Camellias. The place where they sell them could easily be missed. It's behind the parking lot in the small greenhouses there. They have their own varieties ("Massee Lane") of Varigated Daphne & Sweet Olive which I purchased and really like them. I believe there were created for more heat tolerance and bloom. The horticulture guys (especially Doug) are there to answer questions too, I drove them crazy trying to find fragrant Camellias.

Take a walk down the paths, some of the bigger greenhouses are back there like the one in my photo. The formal garden is on the back side of the pottery museum, I missed it my first time there.

I saw the sale area and one of the greenhouses but by the time I pushed my DM's wheelchair back there I was way to tired.

I do not work so my time is free so I will get with you.

Have you ever been to Callaway? I was there back int he 80's, Can not walk as well now but would like to see seasonal threads on the gardens starting next year. If you could get over there, we could share the garden. Big Grin
