I have a brother who lives here and I told him today that I would love to send he and his wife a start next year of one of the Daylilies that I grow.

The Daylily I'm thinking of is an early midseason, semi-evergreen diurnal. I don't know if Daylilies can grow that far south in TX, so I'm asking y'all for help. I know it's south of Laredo.

If I can send him the plant, when is the best time to plant in south TX?

Thanks everyone for your help! Thumbs up

Have you asked in the daylily forum? I would yes to growing them there, but I'm sure there are TX daylily growers who could give better info to you.

Not yet Sandi. I wanted to make sure, so I thought to ask here in the TX forum. I'll ask in the Daylily forum. Thanks!
