If you look on the right side of the photo where the side of the standards are located you see what appears to be a face figure lit up just above the falls. Who is this apparition?

I first thought of George too, but after spending more time starring at the shape I'm not sure. I hope I sleep well tonight......

Well, at least now I know why Keith no longer sells this cultivar; it's haunted (Keppel removed it from his sale list this year)!! Perhaps there's a correlation to Barry closing down his commercial operations? Rolling on the floor laughing

But in all seriousness folks, this is a gorgeous cultivar and I hope more folks on this site acquire it in the near future. I will do my best to share when it's big enough (first year)

Yikes I see 2 face shapes. Upper right looks like big hair /head dress falling in her eyes, nose, lips and 2 white teeth. One below looks like part of head skelton. Whistling Hilarious! I'm warped sometimes. Hilarious! Hilarious!

I actually see 4 faces in the top bloom and a froggie/elf in the bottom right of the lower bloom.

Top, a Bushman, then Skeletor, in the ruffle below Skeletor a white clad figure ducking for cover, and directly above the blue coloration, Grover Cleveland (sort of)

Whistling

Nope, no Cheshire cat, but at a glance the un-enlarged whole flower looks kinda like a blue beaked angry bird... Big Grin

Dang, all I'm seeing is a beautiful Iris that I wish I could grow but I guess I live too far south because Irises won't grow here and I really want to grow those beauties but I don't want to move north where it gets cold in the winter Green Grin! And I want to see the face that's lit up and the froggie/elf and whatever a Skelator is ... Sighing!

I guess I'll just go back and enlarge the photo and Drooling drool some more at that gorgeous bloom Lovey dubby and wish that Irises would grow in Florida!

Does anyone see the perfect chin, lips & teeth, above the one Richard see's? Follow the edge of iris above Richards & there it is. The lips are a darker shade around the teeth. I liked to find the hidden figures in the old Currier and Ives prints as a kid.
