Thanks Vic and Vickie. I love little projects like this. It is so relaxing. I had plenty to do out in my flower beds and garden but it was too hot today for outdoor exertion.

Love things made with found objects. Am I correct in thinking it's okay to post things we make, and not just store-bought?

You're welcome, Vicki!

I believe this thread has a few things that could go on the other thread. They kind of cross-over each other a little, so maybe it doesn't matter which is used. Shrug!

Full disclosure - When Dave brought Garden Art over from Cubits - when this website was All Things Plants, he accidentally added me along with Becky who is a true artist. I'm clueless *Blush* Whistling

Becky no longer comes here so I do watch the forum. There are so many talented folks here and I love seeing what they make, what they buy, what they decorate, etc.

I can rarely answer questions and I'm so thankful for the folks here that can - just like you Lovey dubby

Thank You Thumbs up

Thank you. I have made things like that, but what I'm doing now is making things out of clay. So they wouldn't qualify for that forum. Can forum titles be edited to include handmade, lol? Sticking tongue out

Well, it's not really store bought, but I got this "recycled metal" flower on eBay:

@pirl Thank You! Thumbs up boy that's goin back a few years… I still have most of my solar lights. They are great. Especially in winter helps fill in the dark areas with color and movement with the solar chain light like wind chimes with hummers hanging down , flowers, adds a lil brightness and visual warmth in winter.

Do you have to replace the batteries in time?

@ Hamwild
They are not very spendy , never had to replace a battery. They are solar…As long as they are kept in sun to recharge and the solar panels kept clean they work great. In winter I usually have to turn them off and bring them inside. Some are placed in house plant pots in sunny windows to keep charged up on good sunny days. They also really come in handy during winter storm power outages. Just turn them on & make a trail of lights to the kitchen.. Rolling on the floor laughing
