I have two Macs, a Mac Classic with the 8 inch screen and 4MB (whoo hoo) of RAM, and the original not too cool iMac with the huge monitor/computer. I had issues with the iMac: iPhoto just didn't work at all and when you went online with it, the screen did not accommodate what IE was trying to send it. I still use it occasionally to burn a disc or print off the photos that are on it - using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2. I tried to upgrade it, but it just isn't possible at this point. I started out with an old Apple IIE and really like Apple's OS, but I think they got kind of lost for a bit there and I just happened to get lost with them. I had a Compaq Presario before I got the Dell. It had Windows 95 on it and I owe everything I know about computers to it - crash a week!

I'd like a Mac, but at this point the cost is prohibitive.

I've never given out the recipe to ANYbody (even turned down my boss's wife).
They are pretty unique - have black walnuts in them, because there was a tree on my great grandfather's farm.

It's small enough you could hold it in your lap, but no, not a laptop.

Porkpal, I like your suggestion to crittergarden!

Had a "girlfriends" lunch in the greenhouse yesterday. Here is our table. Yes, I took up the good china and flatware. And an orchid centerpiece (that is not in the center.....LOL)

Nice! How about a lace runner and some candles for next year? What was the menu?

sounds lovely.

about bedsheets and table cloth - my most complimented table cloth is a bedsheet. Not that anyone needs to know. They fit my table!

Warm and cloudy. The rain has ended and I think I may go ask Jess if she wants to go for a ramble. She and her dad just arrived.

Dear all, it has been cold some nights and warm other nights which has confused the animals and the plants! I cannot believe the grass is perfect and my boss has not had to use any hay at all although we have February coming up so he may have to use some then. The rabbits are still breeding so I have had to thin them out as there are far too many of them in the fields and where they make rabbit rings in the grass the cows will not eat.
We had to round the Geese up to go to market and they can be aggressive but we managed it in the end! Joe my Boss has bought some lovely new chickens and when they started laying gave me a dozen eggs for Christmas, plus a lovely bit of beef.
May I take this opportunity from afar to wish you all a HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.
Regards to all from England.
Neil.
