I don't think I want any more single fans. My last experience was not good.

Cass, I have noticed that many are increasing the price of their shipping per plant. When I have plants listed on the LA, I usually price mine at $10 the first plant and then $1 ea additional plant.

It can be very time consuming to dig a variety of plants for an order, so I look at it their increased pricing as a handling fee, not just to cover shipping.

Sonjamae sends double fans. Mike44 sends large single fans with long roots. He also states that he sends bonus plants regardless of how much you spend.
He has great feedback and I just won another nice one for 5.00. So that's not too bad. For 5.00 I don't mind a single. Besides on LA you get to name your price. If you win you win and if you don't there are lots of others.

Susan, at $5 you might also be able to get another SF of the same daylily at that same price so that you have two fans in the hole instead of only one. Mike will offer more of the same daylilies. I have found here that it seems to take a SF forever to increase. I did this this fall when "winning" some SFs on the Lily Auction when I could get them at a low cost. One time when we had "several wins" coming from Mike, he let us pick our bonus(es). We sent him a list of some that he had been listing on the LA, and he picked from that list.

If you search on the Lily Auction for the daylily you are wanting, you can often buy a DF for less than two SF.

Well I went back to see if I could get another single fan for a good price and he deleted all but one of his daylilies? What is that all about?

My first order for daylilies was for 15 SF's at 'MGP' and I still have not gotten them. I ordered these July 2, I thought it would be ok for the price I could get some different varieties and see which ones do best. Then if I have anything good I can order a double fan later. For one thing they do not even start shipping till sept. 20 and most others are done shipping at that time. This was a general message I read on the website and how mad would someone be if they were in zone 5, the ground is already starting to freeze.

Susan, that situation is probably the most common to cause buyer upset. There should be a 90 point font warning on any auction site at the time the account is set up that the buyer needs to read ALL of the print BEFORE bidding. Think I told you my boss has 150,000+ transactions on ebay and I can tell you that is the number one customer service problem.

I have been waiting. I have a bed ready for the smaller daylilies like the small singles I am getting from MGP, plus I got a few from mamajack. I am getting more disappointed by the day and I will probably not do any more business with them.

Sorry to be so ignorant...but what or who is MGP?

It was Mary's Garden Patch, I changed it to MGP so it would not show up on a google search. Too soon to give feedback.

Oh, shoot! I think I answered my own question about why have I not got my daylilies. She is probably shipping by zone and the people in the North would be first.

I would have to agree with Springcolor. I try to avoid anytime it says Single fan unless I have done business with that seller before.I had order about 8 new varieties off the DA and I wont mention the sellers name , I was very disappointed even though I did not leave negative feedback. I would not do that unless the plant was dead or molding, etc. I have however ordered from Mljomo on Da and I always get very large fans even if it is a single , plus nice bonus plants. All of the ones ordered from Mljomo in spring did multiply and bloom. The other seller that I bought from I had 1 plant bloom out of eight. I too sell from time to time on the DA and I always try to send more than what I list. I believe that customers are always pleased when they recieve a fan or two extra than what they paid for and they will become repeat customers. Treat others as you would want to be treated.

You are right, however this was the first company I ordered from and I just wanted to try some new varieties and they were 5 for 18.95 and you get to pick out what you want. I picked out 15 and I have a good space for the small daylilies. I am really not sure what I am expecting for 3.80 each. I have done business with her before and she has good feedback on Watchdog, unfortunately none are for daylilies but I will be changing all that.
