Holly, does your Tiny Tim ever fruit? If you've got an extra pup, I'd love to give it a home -- or, rather, my MIL would... their new place actually has sunny windows, one feature their oak-shaded home lacked, so I'm looking for some fun/interesting plants for them to try. Bonus is that if a curious cat chews on a leaf, no harm done. Aspenhill is my plant fairy... Smiling

Our dear Chantell will not be able to come to the swap this time and I have a plant for her. Does anybody live near Stafford VA and don't mind taking the plant for her? Thought some of our new members might be from that area...

Thank You!

Tessa (Aspenhill) and I have been talking about how we need to get together with Chantell. I think we could make it happen later in the month... I have soemthign for her also.

Well, it looks like Irma won't arrive in the area until AFTER the swap. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Is anyone going to need access to a stove top, oven, microwave or steam tray? Let me know as soon as you can.

I ran into some additional tangles at home this week, so I won't be sending plants along with Tessa (Aspenhill). Everybody is fine (now), and I'm still heading out of town for a couple weeks, leaving Jim & Joyanna & Mom to hold down the fort.

If anybody wanted any of my few offerings, contact me... we'll figure something out, and/or I'll bring things to the spring swap!

Somewhat reluctantly, because it was a gift from one of my daughters, I just added my Calamondin Orange tree to the swap tool list. It is 3' tall x 3' wide, probably really needs a larger pot, and has pretty much outgrown the indoor space I have available for it during the winter months.
I think it could be a beautiful tree with the proper care. Right now, its new leaves are healthy, but the older leaves have some leaf miner damage.
It has bloomed in previous years, but has not produced oranges. It may need to be sited near another Calamondin for cross-pollination purposes.

Muddy, I can't take that, but I read once that Calamondin is one of the easiest citrus.
Plant it and they will come.

Since no one is going to bring rice, I am going to bring also a very simple but my favorite fried rice to go with my garlic egg plants with pork belly. Anyone not eating pork? I can either leave the pork out or make 2 kinds, with and without pork.

Rick, I may need to heat up the fried rice and the egg plants. Or heat up on the stove. I am going to bring them in a container that keeps things warm, but not sure how long it will keep them warm.
