So beautiful! Congratulations. It looks like you have some boxwoods and pieris japonica to start (?). I'd say that is an awesome beginning.
A nice rhododendron might be nice a the right corner, but rhodies are a bit of a crap shoot with deer, yet they do stand a chance. Hydrangea are a better bet. As much as I like azaleas, the deer here regularly munch on them. Best rule of thumb is to check to see what's working for the neighbors, and what the local nurseries carry. Helleborus (aka Lenten Rose) is a sure winner with deer, and also work well with the northern exposure. Be sure to give them some thought.
