I'll be stopping by Aldi tonight Jill...anything else you're ISO?
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Didn't see this in time, Chantell, but no worries -- I have 2 shovels via Rick, so I'm good!

I stopped at my local store this evening, and no shovels. No boneless chicken thighs, either, so I got chicken breast for tonight's curry... and they were nearly out of that!

Mangoes are like 67 cents this week, but the ones they had didn't look good. I'll check back for those later in the week.

I saw those mangoes but, rock hard.
The snacking cukes were old and did not last. The gourmet lettuce 4 pack is nice tho.
We're happy that their dark chocolate bar with almonds, purple wrapper, is finally back in! So good!
Plant it and they will come.

Snacking cukes looked good yesterday, so I got a pack. Also picked up a very long $1 greenhouse cucumber. I ate 2 of the little cukes with my curry last night.

I also like the big box of "spring mix." Peanut the guinea pig shares it with us, although we have to pick around the spinach for him. (Spinach is high in calcium, which can lead to bladder stones in guinea pigs.) I stuff great handfuls inside a tortilla wrap, sometimes with a smear of goat cheese, and it's a "hand salad!"

Has anyone seen the cranberry dark chocolate choceur bars at Aldi this year? Maybe they're a casualty of sourcing issues.
Always looking for interesting plants for pollinators and food! Bonus points for highly, and pleasantly scented plants.

Haven't seen them in Frederick.

We were bummed that they sold out of the grill lights before we snagged one for Jim for Father's Day. They did have some cute cacti! And Joyanna got a super soft t-shirt dress.

UrbanWild that isnt a familiar flavor to me. But we are addicted to Choceur dark chocolate with almonds bar in the purple wrapper. It is The best! And was not in store for a few months.

A large Aldi near me has a bigger deli case and their dill slices in a plastix tub are super crunchy. I've come to like them and sad the smaller closer store did not have them.
Plant it and they will come.

Jill,

One of my Aldi stores still had the grill light. I picked up an extra if you're interested.

Rick, that would be great! When/where can we meet? I can swing by some evening when you're home from work or meet up if you're heading northward.

I work the late shift tomorrow (Thursday). I get off around 6-ish. Your could meet me there. It's not far (1 mile) from Lake Forest Mall. Would that work?

Aldi has 2.75" succulents/cactuses for $2. I bought 11 yesterday and repotted all but 3 they just SOAKED. I'm hoping to hit another today.

Went to have my hair cut last Wednesday! Also went to Trader Joe, saw a big dish full with succulents for about $15.00 Almost bought it, but then thinking, I don't have space for them any longer----My vines and volunteers are growing so fast, need to cut them when it finally stop raining-Has been raining non stop! Wish I could clone myself, one for weeding the front yard, and one to cut and kill the back yard volunteers and porcelain vines-

My Aldi's had gardening clogs clearanced for under $3. I typically use pool shoes for the yard but couldn't pass up a deal like that.
