Daring Deception is an outstanding plant with some triple socketed buds and good increase for me. Blooms last a long time in the garden which is a feature of a medal winner. Everyone who sees mine is in love.
Strawberry Shake was a first year plant for me and it bloomed beautifully despite the storms and weird weather. It was short but that was due to the weather.

Star Turn is one of the best pinks in my garden. Photos don't really capture the dusty rose color accurately. I'll go out and snap a pic when it's cooler. It's
a large bloom.
I have been a bit negligent in dividing the plant, so it only had a few flowers this season.
A new addition to the backyard, Final Episode, has been a real standout:
When teamed with Titan's Glory, they proved to be a very pleasing combination when viewed from the dining room:
I love Owyhee Desert. It is on the shorter side of a tall bearded, but it does bloom every year and has a lovely scent (not strong, but wish it could be bottled).
So that is why I asked if you wanted favorites, or good growing favorites. There are some that come back and greet you every year, and some that show up on occasion. Other favorites of those that come back each year are the SDB Inner Space

I would have to second the motion for Dusky Challenger. It is huge, ruffled, wonderful substance, gorgeous color and deliciously fragrant. There are good reasons for it having been ranked #1 on the American Iris Society IRis Popularity Polls for many years. If I could have only one iris, this would be it!

I have a lot of favorite irises. But a lot I don't know the names that I have because they came from my stepmother as a gift for helping her in her garden. But they are tall bearded irises and they are yellow, purple, light blue, white. I also have those common purple ones too.
Not only people give others signs, but plants do too.
Teagan: SDB that grows like a weed for me and I can't say that about most SDBs.. It's a true blue and white with green accents. And if that weren't enough, it's Diamond dusted.
I know you said one but Grape Expectations is another one I am crazy about. It has an irradescent metallic sheen I found unbelievable on a flower.
If you think there is no more beauty left in the world...Plant a garden!!!
