I love to take photos and share the ones that come out great. Sometimes I laugh at myself trying to grab that "perfect shot" among the weeds, gardening utensils, curious cat, wind, rain, and whatever else gets in the way.

I thought it would be fun for us to share our 'other side of the bloom'-- the stuff we crop out of photos. I'll start with sharing the mess I've accumulated around my greenhouse: hundreds of daylily seedlings in pots, plenty more plants I started from seeds, cardboard I put down to combat weeds (it works great!), empty pots, named daylilies in pots waiting on their spot in the garden to be finished, an extension to the bed at the back of the greenhouse that is not finished, a wire that is going to the new sprinkler system we are installing, and my newest seedling bed overwhelmed by weeds (I didn't get to finish and put mulch in before the weeds took over, now you can't hardly see the daylilies for the weeds!). No cropping on these!

And what it will look like on all sides when I finish (with more spacing than this around plants...I have about 400 seedlings packed in here!)

Now it's your turn...what have you been cropping out of your photos?

Great idea for a thread Regina! Thumbs up Thumbs up

So far about the only thing I've cropped out my photos is ugly foliage. Oh, I have plenty no show areas however. My DW keeps trying to bump it up on my priority list along with the nursery pot holding areas. Whistling

A few years ago, we found tons of limestone on Craigslist- no joke when I say we tons. I still haven't used all of it and this pile is for two more beds I want to get built this summer... This gets cropped out Big Grin

As if I didn't have enough going on, my daughter bought me stuff to do a succulent planter project for Mother's Day. It started to rain yesterday, so a great time to start another project! Rolling on the floor laughing

I finish gluing pots today when the thunder started. I thought about this thread when I saw the photo I took. I decided to post without cropping, lol. I hope to put plants in tomorrow, then more weeding in the seedling bed. I think I accidentally threw out a couple of seedlings today with the weeds! Sticking tongue out

Thanks to those that are posting and having some fun with it!
Crothers looks like a great helper!!

Ginny,
I laid 10 pots out in a circle, with the openings facing out, of course. I used a hot glue fun to tack them together, then put clear silicone caulk on them to hold them together. Next, I laid the next ring of pots on, alternating with some smaller pots to help fill the voids. It isn't an exact match, so you have to eyeball it to see what looks best. Once those are arranged, tack them, then silicone. Then the top of it had four pots, two of them smaller ones. I have a few more plants to put in, but did work on it again today when it was too hot to do anything else.
Some plants on the bottom level are just stuck in the holes in their pots to take this pic; hope to finish tomorrow. I will move it out of the garage to its spot on my brick wall, hose it off, and hope it looks great Sticking tongue out
My table got even messier, lol.

Love it! Do you somehow hang it in the wall or does it sit like it is now?

It sits. I think it would be too heavy to hang (clay pots plus soil and the plants themselves).

Thinking about making a mini one with very small clay pots. It could probably be hung up; will have to give it some thought as how to attach it to the pots....

Bad foliage, the dog's butt Rolling my eyes. , a stray roll of fencing, random pots... Mostly I am only taking single bloom images, though, so most of the cropping is for bad foliage or dead-but-unpruned blooms.
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom
