They came to me with just the barest green showing only about 3 weeks ago, Vic, right around my birthday. It's amazing how quickly they've grown and bloomed. I can't wait for the rest of the show!

I've never had an Amaryllis that had a scent. Somewhere I read that they were bred to be big and showy and the scent was left behind. I just walked over and stuck my nose right in the middle of them, nope, not a scent that I could detect. 'Course I was just outside taking a picture of this magnificent moon tonight so my nose was pretty cold, but no scent do I smell.

That's odd. I've had Apple Blossom & it had a wonderful scent & NOID's which had scent -- 1 in particular which you can smell when you get within 6 feet of it. Hmmmmm.....

OK, if I go over to check the name of that red bud, I'd have to move the cat off my lap. If I move the cat off my lap, he'll pout for hours because I just now allowed him up here.

This was when I was painting a couple of years ago and he was upset because the furniture was all a mess and things weren't to his liking. I don't want to see this face again.

But I KNOW that at least SOME Amaryllis have wonderful scents! Or maybe they only smell good when I grow them. (wink)
