Sheryl,
I have seen the EA web site. They also have a on-line store.I have bought their plants from different stores and they always seem to be healthy plants. I wonder if their web site is better about having the plants labeled correctly.I tend to always get their plants with wrong labels on them. But your right if I buy one of their plants going to their web site for care info. is well smart and why hasn't that crossed my mind before??? any plants they carry they have care info on huh

wow, I didn't know there were so many different flavors of Calathea. Most of those at the Exotic Angel I've never seen before, at least not here at our nurseries... =) Love the tri-colored ones!

They said home repo carries there plants on Germain, I went and looked, and they didn't have a single Calathea :((( So, I settled for another ZZ-Plant and a very pretty dracena, that I have never seen before. Pictures to follow some time today when I get them potted up.
Alan,
Check out Hirt's Gardens, also Glasshouse Works on web search. They have many Calathea you will find. also a great place to find other treasures. I don't like ordering this time of year. If you can wait till March.

yep. enjoy the nice weather now and I will enjoy the nice summer here. (when if it comes). Also all the EA plants I find in the local stores so cheap, I believe comes from China. There are whole sellers there that sells by the 100's or more. I think they put their names on it and ship it out. At least that's my opinion. Who knows?
Here is a link of Sans. guineesis photos I found ; http://www.lexic.us/definition...
click on the guineesis highlighted and you will see lots of photo of sans. Some are from my photos. And pictures of sans geing ready to ship here by the wholesellers. Buy by the 100's and get at a very low price each. Clicking on the pictures takes you to their website.

Hello again,
Can anyone tell me what kind of potting medium the sansevieria like.I mix a lot of my own kind of I have orchid bark, sphagnum, orchid mix,a good potting mix and vermiculite.I mix them according to the plants need for drainage, need to dry out between watering and need to stay damp and I fertilizer with different npk ratio's.
I am going to go look it up now,but any help from some experience is always the best info!!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

To my experience (rather limited) a typical mix is fine for Sanseverias - I think they prefer pretty good drainage, but as long as you're not putting them in mud, you should be okay.
Speak up, anyone, if you have a different experience....
I think I just responded to this on another thread. Please forgive me for names. They are always changing. I ID'ed this one as Sansevieria Trifasciata Black Futura 'Goldedge'. but compacta fits the bill as well. That's why I hate to name a sans anymore. Seems every nursery changes or has a different name for them. Very confusing.

Stush, I'm sorry I had posted this and then I seen the thread on the sans.I will try to not make a habit of double posting!!!! Thank you for the name on the plant.Sheryl (i think) called it a compacta, does that mean it's a dwarf plant then.
The Hoya rope plant is also in a little pot,I wonder if there are dwarf hoya's and it's one??
Happy new year to all
Jo

Jo,
Didn't know about your surgery. I am glad everything is ok. It is I hope? This year has been bad on me as well. Heart problems, pneumonia, then leg surgery. I am feeling better than ever now.
I have a lot of sans and learned more this year about them that I knew the past 40 years due to people on forums like this one. I posted my picture to the data base and it looks very much like yours.
Hope we all have a happy new years and no more health problems. God bless.
