Charter ATP Member I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Hosted a Not-A-Raffle-Raffle Million Pollinator Garden Challenge Plant Identifier Garden Ideas: Level 2
Celebrating Gardening: 2015 Avid Green Pages Reviewer Photo Contest Winner: 2014 Photo Contest Winner: 2017
Has 2 different scientific name spellings, difference is an i; I think that is the correct designation - Strobilanthes dyerianus. Not sure what to do about that.
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.

well phooey...looks like I added my images to the wrong spelling. Guess I only thought I could see Glare What now? or in fact are they both the same?

I use The Plant List as my definitive place for plant names. We make labels for the Botanical Garden, so it's good to have a final word from an authoritative source.

It's supposed to be approved or not by a moderator once it is submitted. But it goes without saying that there will be variations of spelling in the database from time to time. I'm glad jmorth caught it.

Seems the added "i" is the preferred spelling. I'm sure it will be changed. Won't it?

Yep, Strobilanthes dyerianus. I can't remember if I'm the one who entered it in the database or not, but if so I misspelled it. I'm pretty certain the correct spelling is dyerianus ... so all of the images here: need to be moved over to the correct entry. I will go put in the request to move mine right now.

I would have just deleted the other one and then changed the spelling of the one with all the images. But this works too.
