By now either you found the answer or everything is toast. I would suggest that in the chats on the Sempervivum and Cactus and Tender succulents forums. This subject is often discussed.

How do you know that Marilyn ? between lots of rains and hot Summer, what started as great and promising year for my Sempervivum and jovibarba took a bad turn....I probably should just stick with the Daylilies & Irises
Anyway, even with a little bid shade that I tried to provide them, it's been quite hot here, and we haven't even break 100's but sure feels like it..

If you have a way to support it, Lowes sells an inexpensive beige mesh stuff we put over our AC when we lived in Texas City. https://www.lowes.com/search?s.... We just stapled it onto the wood fence around the AC unit.

Do the leaves turn dry and black?
