That was awesome and heartwarming all at the same time. interesting how the fed the little one too!! I wonder what they were really feeding it? It looked like milk, they called it milk, but something tells me there was more in that eyedrop than milk...lol! =)

Sorry, this is off topic. This was such a moving story, I went to the Bat World Sanctuary site ...... anybody have any dealings with them? I'm ready to sponsor a bat, it's just hard to know what is a worthy charity and what is just meant to tear at your heart and open the purse strings.

Sherri: I only give to local charities and small needs. I leave the big checks to go to the charities who can afford big TV ads that play every hour at times. I am not saying the Animal Rescue or Childrens fund isnt worthy. I would just like to see my whole dollar go to the charity.

I gave to our local Food Link this year.despite the fact there are many childrens toys charities at this time of year.
Everyone needs food and especially now. Children wont suffer if they dont get toys.
Our local Food Link feeds 150,000 people in the area,dont know how many counties that is.
I give weekly at the checkout counter at the grocery store.

Jo Ann, I'm glad you liked the bats! We take out of town guests down to see them. Always a fun experience. Well, except if the guests venture too far out onto the grass when the bats first fly out. They are warned that they might get "rained" on as the bats fly over them.
