OMG!! I could not believe it. Looks like a war zone. If you get a chance look at CNN or go to CNN.com the pictures are unbelievable.

Happy Halloween everybody! I am just getting over a sinus infection so I will not sit outside this year and hand out candy. Usually a good time to meet with the neighbors and see all the kids and dogs, not today too cold for me!

Wow, I was wondering. I only had about ten. It was cold and I could not sit outside, I got tired of answering the door and turned of the light at 7.30. Now what will I do with all this candy! I usually have 125! Oh well, I think I will take some to work.

Susan,
Our church has a 'Light up the Night' special where we bring our candy there and distribute to the kids. Maybe your church may have something similar?

They use to when I was a young child, they would bring in coffins and we would have a 'house of horrors' right in the sunday school department! It was a blast!!
Somewhere along the line, they decided the 'devils celebration' did not belong in the church and out we went.
I live in a good neighborhood, its a blue collar, but no too many rednecks.
Anyway, we use it for a social event, get out and meet with your neighbors. Everyone with kids is walking around the neighborhood and they have their babies and their dogs, they pull them around in wagons. Once in awhile you will see a hayride or pick-up truck full of kids. Its fun, nothing bad here.

What I can't understand is why do we have them go around at night and to people we don't know? We once held it during daytime. Saturday 3pm to 6pm. I thought it was nice. It sure was safer.
Your event sound wonderful. How nice.

Seems like the local governments are running things. One city decided they did not want the kids trick or treat on a school night and moved it to saturday. Some people had already took down their decorations!
