And the great big, fat snowflakes just kept falling. Lovey dubby
I could love it because I didn't have to go anywhere. Thumbs up

Oh Allison, all your Halloween decorating covered in snow. And just look at that power pole snapped in two. Blinking

the plows couldn't get up here.. Randy and a few of the neighbors actually shoveled the road ... didn't want to use the snow blowers with all the limbs in the road.. was just crazy talk!!!.. took over a week to melt too.. but it did warm up again and go away.. we were almost panicked that we wouldn't be able to get the cords up from halloween and get christmas out.. but it all worked out

good news is the security cameras still had enough power when the tree broke in front of the house

oh the strangest part.. we had a brown out.. but the cameras kept recording.. and Randy was in the basement messing around with halloween decorations.. when I heard the thud.. I asked if that was him.. and he said yes.. had to see my face when I stuck my phone out the door to take a photo of the snow and saw it lying in the street.. UGH... good news is the neighbor down the end of the street clears the fire access road in the woods and has a bucket loader.. they were able to swing the branch out of the way and off to the side of the road.. just in case.. within an hour or so.. Randy cut off the branches that he could with his small chain saw.. but most of it was too big for him to deal with.. the town took care of the rest of it

Allison, I'd forgotten about that bad storm you had out East when all the leaves were still on the trees and the heavy snow pulled so many of them down (along with the power lines!). What a mess, and what a lot of work cleaning up... hope you have a very merry Christmas and an otherwise very "easy" winter!

yes Merry Christmas to us... it was a mess Sandy... and I hope that means an easy winter too!!!.. Randy put up a couple of cheap 4' trees beside the stump to at least try and make the spot look nicer ... we picked those up at the Christmas Tree Shop for $10.00 each.. we couldn't walk away from them
