Have a problem with gnats in your potting soil? Dump the soil into a container and hang fly tape above.

Oh it was horrible! Sticking tongue out I started to take it out of the shop and dump it in the yard, but then they would have only multiplied! I got two bags of that brand from Walmart, because they were cheaper, never more. Normally I buy Miracle Grow and never had that problem.

Great photo Sheila, in a scary way!

I buy my potting soil at the local nursery supply warehouse. It comes in large bales for $20 per 3.8cf compressed bale. One bale seems to last forever, and is really high quality stuff. Once I started using these, I can never buy bagged potting soil again. Thumbs up

Wow, that is a lot of gnats. What a clever idea. If that ever happens to me I will definitely use this tip. Thumbs up

Dave, I've always used Miracle Grow, but since you posted about you local nursery supply warehouse I will have to check on the one that we have in Salem. Sounds like that would be a huge savings. Hurray!
