Yes, I did read it & cried too. Gave it a thumbs up --- all I could do through the tears. Also got that you did Pt. 4 to lighten the mood, which it did. And you're still a little devil!

To be totally honest, I did part 3 for 2 reasons - the polite reason was as a Christmas gift to ATPers who might happen to read it.

The much more selfish reason is that it's a chance to show off -- I'm actually in the middle of creating a proposal (that should have been finished a month ago, but I got stuck) for a collection of short stories. So every now and again, I toss a non-collected story out into the wind to see how far she'll fly.

Good for you. From living with a writer I know the hardest part or maybe the part you writers REALLY don't want to do is the "business" part. The artists way. But it must be done & someone else is not always going to do it for them. So, you have my applause!

Fingers crossed. I know it feels like you're laying your heart out there on the table & waiting for someone to either take a sledgehammer to it or to tenderly pick it up & love it.

Falling asleep last night, I realized it's not the first time I've submitted stuff to a publisher or an agent. But it's the first time I've ever had the jitters about it.
