Beautiful Iris. I tip my hat to you. and thanks Sharon for an excellent tutorial. Painting seems to be so easy when you show us how you do it. I can see the magnificent bird in the 3rd picture above and I´m sure if you had changed your mind this would have become a beautiful bird of Paradise or some other faraway dream land. (You should try exploring the caves in my head, I usually get lost there myself Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing ).

I got that bird image in my mind early on and it was all I could do to keep from putting big yellow legs on it. But Polly wanted Altay, she'd mentioned it a long time ago. So that's what she got.
Still, I can't get the bird image out of my mind. Green Grin!

If Ethan had been here, he'd have seen the big purple bird just like I did.
He's my 7 year old grandson.
We think alike.

Once you mentioned eyes, all I could see was the bird. Makes me think the next time my irises bloom, I'll look at them and think "bird! big purple bird!" Hilarious!

Polly, darn it. I thought everybody had oodles of easels everywhere. I should have sent you one with the painting. Just prop it in the corner somewhere, it'll be fine. In the meantime I'll be looking around for an easel and will let you know if I find one.

LOL Magga!!! My mind gets a little cave-y sometimes too!! Thank you...

Flit!! You probably won't be the only one.
