What a striking plant. Looks rather tropical to me, but what cool leaf structure. Does it also bloom?
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

It's more blackish/dk. green than photo showed, lighting wasn't the best inside. I thought it was an unusual looking plant.
I read they do bloom but rare as a house plant. I tip my hat to you.

@Boneheadn Deb, they do bloom ... nothing fancy like many flowers but unique and pretty in their own right. Like all Aroids, the bloom is a Spadix/Spathe. Here are some Alocasia bloom photos from our database.
