Hello....
I'm so glad I found you all...a few old gardening trading buddies from 'another place' told me about this. I traded there for over 20 years...so I have a great feedback rating there.
I would love to add some photos to the data base. I'm a pretty crazy sedum collector, so have a pretty good sized collection of photos that aren't listed yet in your data base.
I just, for the life of me, can't figure out how to post a new picture in the data bases....

help ?

Thanks !

Cheryl

Hello and welcome.

I haven't added anything in a long time but here's how you start. I think.
At the top of this screen you should see Plants Database with a dropdown arrow. So drop down and then click on Plants Database in the list. (I know. Seems redundant but just do it.) Next you'll see a lot of this that and the other. Look for 'Add a new plant to the database'.
After that you're own your own, Well, not really. There are a number of people who can help you take it from there, it's just that I'm not one of them. @zuzu can probably assist you. You might send her a tree-mail and see if she can assist or point you to someone else.
Good luck.

Cheryl, the Sedum genus underwent a major overhaul recently, so when you search for some of your sedums in the database, you'll probably find that the name you knew is now a synonym for a new species.

Hi Cheryl, Welcome! from me too!

Yep, you will find a lot of us here at garden.org are former members at DG, if that's the "other" place you are referring to. Green Grin!

I see you have one photo in the database (Daylily) so I see you must have figured it out but if you ever have trouble finding a database listing for a plant, just give a shout out and someone will help!

It's easy to upload photos once you get used to it. When you find the correct database entry; for example: Sedum (Hylotelephium spectabile 'Herbstfreude') Look over to the left and under where it says Actions, the first item is Upload a Photo. Click there and follow the steps and don't forget to scroll down and click submit. Photos go into a queue for database administrators to approve and you will get a system message once it's done.

Again, if you have any trouble at all, don't hesitate to ask. It sometimes takes a little while to get used to a new site and the way things operate but garden.org is truly user/member friendly! LOL, I've been a member here since the beginning and I still get confused and have to ask for help sometimes! Smiling

Thank you everyone.....DG is not the other place, but I did go there on occasion LOL. I have over 100 sedums in my collection, and that many if not more of my daylilies, so I have a log road ahead of me if I'm going to list all of those in the database !!

Thanks for the welcome Smiling
