Thread OP

Hello!
I've finally kept house plants alive for more than a month, and have become a bit obsessed. Incredibly rewarding once you get the hang of it. The hike up the learning curve hasn't been too steep, and even with trial and error I haven't lost any plants this attempt (third time is a charm!)

Right now I'm growing
Indoor:
Nerve plant
Purple wandering jewi
Silver lace fern
Strawberry firetail
Peacock moss...selaginella uncinata
Schefflera
various succulents
something carniverous I cant recall the name of

Outdoor
petunias
mint
sweet basil
blue carpet sedum
pineapple sage
spicy oregano
hula berries
silver stone cushion bush
rosemary
cilantro

Everyone is doing quite well except the sedum, the scefflera cuttings i tried to propogate (both rotted in the soil), and one of the succulents (I think it has different water requirements than the aloes it's next to).

I'm taking a small break from moving, but I'll be back! Soon! 😁

Welcome to the PNW from the PNW. Sounds like you have recently moved here? From where? Will this be a big change for you? You may want to check out the Pacific NW forum, we get together every now and again in real life.

*waves*

I was actually born and raised here! The mostly grey weather suits me. I joke the summers here are too hot for my Irish blood. 😆 just moving around same area for more economical rent.
I will pop over to the PNW section sometime!

I'm a native as well, grew up in north Seattle (Little Ol' Lake City), moved out in my mid 20s to rural area about an hour north of the city. I, too, enjoy our temperate weather.
