Thank you!! (Is this your namesake, by chance?) It was an early morning shot on an overcast day, so I think that helped my camera to not overexpose it too much.
First Flower Open Ever.... Always relates to the first flower of a daylily (or plant) that the owner has seen in their garden. I lucked out with a gorgeous first-ever bloom on her today. TWO, actually... There was a significantly smaller (oddly) , but equally gorgeous bloom right next to that one:
I should add that "FFO" means First Flower Open and relates to the first flower Open that season.... The E distinguishes between first ever, and just first of the season.

Thanks! I even searched for the acronym before posting my question and only came up with 'fluency flexibility originality elaboration' or 'finally famous over everything' - neither of which seemed to match up with anything having to do with a flower... I wish all the plant-specific forums would have a sticky with common terms defined.
