THat is the best bloom and pic that I have seen of it in spite of the fact that I grow it. You caught it at the right moment!

Thank you!! Lovey dubby (Is this your namesake, by chance?) It was an early morning shot on an overcast day, so I think that helped my camera to not overexpose it too much.

What does FFOE mean?
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

First Flower Open Ever.... Always relates to the first flower of a daylily (or plant) that the owner has seen in their garden. I lucked out with a gorgeous first-ever bloom on her today. TWO, actually... There was a significantly smaller (oddly) , but equally gorgeous bloom right next to that one:

This is why I rarely go to the daylily forum - you guys have your own language! That IS a pretty bloom, nice rich brick color.

I should add that "FFO" means First Flower Open and relates to the first flower Open that season.... The E distinguishes between first ever, and just first of the season.

Thanks! I even searched for the acronym before posting my question and only came up with 'fluency flexibility originality elaboration' or 'finally famous over everything' - neither of which seemed to match up with anything having to do with a flower... I wish all the plant-specific forums would have a sticky with common terms defined.
