My Plumies do that too from time to time, dropping older, lower leaves. But as long as I see new growth at the top, I am okay with it. As long as the rest of the trunk stays firm to my touch, no soggy part, it is okay. As long as your media has been made very porous and well draining, it will not mind daily watering. It is summer time, they like to drink water a lot too to sustain all the leaves it is growing, so on my side since it is very dry, it likes daily good watering.

Good it is at the balcony, it can get as much light it can have. Since you said it has recently underwent aphid issues, give the plant some time to recover. Just be patient and continue with watering. It is active growing time. I also think it is their way of redirecting energy to newer growth by retiring some older lower leaves. Our growing areas have varying humidity levels as well. So there is faster dry out time of lower leaves too when humidity is too low and it shows on the manner of growing of the leaves, it may curl up, a good indicator it is getting thirsty.

Hi every body, thank you for this helpfull information, I just want to ask you about the humidity for the plumeria please, I've been told that this plant originly lives at the coast side (which is not my case), every morning I put the humidifier beside the plumirea to incrase the humidity, knwoing that my plumeria is outside for now, I still can't be sure if it is OK for my plumeria, it has been now almost two weeks that I have my plumeria , and I'm in France.
I want to know if this is good for the plumeria or not, my wife told me that it will make no difference, so can you please tell me if this good or not, or if you have any advice concerning this issue.
TIA.

@ramik Welcome! first of all congratulations on your inflo, not sure what your temperature is right now but if it is above 60 degrees and your plumeria is getting 6 hours of full sun it looks like you will be seeing flowers in the next month or so. Maybe even sooner depending on your weather conditions.

I don't use any humidifier on my plants because they are all
Growing outside and we are very humid here. Hopefully some that have experience growing them in your growing conditions would chime in.

I grow them in hot, dry, New Mexico outdoors in the summer. If I water daily they are just fine and do bloom. I can't miss a day though, or they have problems. We have almost no humidity. Sometimes it's just 3%!

I'm in Houston. We were 100° with about 60% humidity. I've never had to use a humidifier here. You're obviously doing something right, with your plants looking overall healthy. I would just keep on doing what you're doing.
