I bought this bulb today which has two bublets. My inclination is to break them off as I think they may rob a little strength from the 'mother' bulb. What has been your experience?

Paul: I've always let them grow until they are good size and haven't noticed any detriment to the mother bulb. Once they are decent size you can then amputate them and pot them up for additional plants.

I also leave the bulblets for one season. They do not seem to hurt the mother and are a nice increase.
